Aftermath
The Araniko Highway from Barabise to the Chinese-Tibetan border, one of the most dangerous roads in Nepal, was totally blocked after the earthquake. The only way to get out of there was by helicopter, or risking their lives running away on a completely destroyed road full of dead bodies under boulders and rubbles.
Chinese Government closed the border without giving any assistance to the Nepalese side. Villagers were blocked for a week and a half without any help except some daily relief from a few helicopters of the Nepalese Army, even international rescue teams couldn’t reach the zone until the bulldozers were able to clear the road.
